DSIP and sleep-model peptides: lab notes

Delta sleep-inducing peptide (DSIP) is a nonapeptide first described in connection with delta-wave electrophysiology. The name records that experimental history. It does not mean a vial is a sleep aid, a sedative, or a product for personal rest.

What the literature actually studies

Published DSIP papers examine peptide detection in biological samples, receptor and signaling hypotheses, and sleep-architecture measurements in controlled animal or in-vitro models. Those models are not interchangeable with human sleep coaching. Conventional hypnotic drugs act through different mechanisms; comparing them to DSIP in marketing copy is not how this catalog is written.

When a methods paper mentions growth-hormone secretion during slow-wave sleep, that is an endocrine observation in a study design. It is not a reason to describe secretagogue peptides as overnight recovery products.

How to document a lot
