Lot number on a research vial

A lot number is the batch identifier that should connect the vial in hand to one row in the certificates library. Cap colour and milligram size are lot-specific on this site. A report for one cap colour or one milligram size does not document a different vial. The sample name and the task identifier are additional lines. They are not nicknames for the lot number.

Match those lines before a file is cited in a study record. The short version is verify a peptide lot against its COA. Library rows live on the certificates page. A sold-out flag does not move a lot number onto another SKU. Research-use only.
