Net peptide content, laboratory definition
Net peptide content is the fraction of a weighed solid that is peptide, once counter-ion, residual solvent, and water are accounted for. Chromatographic purity does not measure that fraction. A high area percent can sit on a salt-heavy cake. If the Certificate of Analysis does not state net content, the study file should say that the figure is absent.
Do not invent a conversion from the labeled vial mass. The catalog milligram size, the mass result, and net content are three different lines. Read them in the purity note and beside the labeled vial mass term. Research-use only.

- Is net peptide content the same number as HPLC purity?
- No. HPLC purity is an area percent under a stated method. Net content is about how much of the solid is peptide. A report can state one, both, or neither.
- Should a receiver calculate net content when the PDF is silent?
- No. This catalog does not publish a house factor for that conversion. Leave the line blank.
