Amino-acid residue in a peptide sequence

A residue is one amino acid as it sits inside a peptide chain, after the elements of water that left during bond formation are no longer part of that unit. Length is a residue count: GHK is three residues, SS-31 is four, ipamorelin is five, BPC-157 is fifteen, MOTS-c is sixteen in the 2015 description, and thymosin alpha-1 is described as twenty-eight. Those counts are labels. The lot report's observed mass is the check.
